Dear colleagues and friends,
On the behalf of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Material and Industrial Production (DICMAPI) we are very proud to welcome each of you to the XXI Summer School "Francesco Turco", to be held on September 13–15, 2016 at the Conference Center in Via Partenope, 36, Naples, Italy. In Naples the “Francesco Turco“ Summer School will be a breeding ground of ideas and knowledge on Industrial Systems Engineering topics for two years. It will promote interaction and cooperation among researchers coming from different universities and enhancing, at once, the sense of belonging to the SSD ING-IND/17 (Industrial Systems Engineering).
If you have never been to Naples, this is also an opportunity for a trip you will remember your whole life. Unlike cities in which art is stored in museums and daily life happens on the streets, Naples's distinctive mark is its folklore: people living and working among the artistic beauties of the city. This aspect will characterize the 2016 edition indeed.
As you can see from the website, this conference has long since become a traditional, well established meeting that gathers together renowned scientists and researchers from all over the continent. The 2016 Edition of the Summer School "Francesco Turco" continues the fruitful collaboration with our association AIDI, being a forum for the exchange of innovative scientific research tools and topics, and organised with European Academy on Industrial Management (AIM). AIM promotes networking both in scientific research and educational activities involving main IE&M schools in EHEA. The Academy’s mission is aligned with the outstanding schools of engineering worldwide.
The special theme of this edition is “SMART MANUFACTURING: NEW PARADIGMS FOR A SMARTER WORLD". We welcome the opportunity to further expand the ranks of the world’s effective global research by sharing our studies and expertise on your behalf.
Finally, we would like to thank each of your for attending the Summer School and bringing your expertise and kindness to our gathering since, it is You, members of our scientific association and conference participants, who will make the conference an “operational exceptional experience”.
