Dear colleagues and friends,

We would like to personally welcome each of you to the XIX Summer School "Francesco Turco", to be held on September 09–12, 2014 at the Ritz Hotel, Senigallia, Italy.  The2014 edition of the “Francesco Turco“ Summer School will extend from Tuesday afternoon to Friday morning for abetter balancing of the School events as well as forgiving the young participants the opportunity to spend more time together in “social” activities.

The 2014 Edition of the Summer School "Francesco Turco" continues the fruitful collaboration with our association AIDI, being a forum for the exchange of innovative scientific research tools and topics, and for the fisrt time is organised with European Academy on Industrial Management (AIM). In particular, AIM promotes networking both in scientific research and educational activities involving main IE&M schools in EHEA. The Academy’s mission is aligned with the outstanding schools of engineering worldwide.

The 2014 edition of the Summer School Francesco Turco, “A CHALLENGE FOR THE FUTURE:  the role of industrial engineering in a global  sustainable economy” will continue to focus on financial, environmental and social fall down of introducing the concept of “green thinking”. The School Program will cover four days including oral sessions, round tables on research and university system internationalisation with invited speakers from Italian and European Universities as well a “learning session” based on an interactive game. The detailed program will also encompass a visit to Gradara, scene of the famous and tragic love story of Paolo and Francesca immortalized by Dante in his Divine Comedy.

Before closing, we would like to thank each of your for attending  the Summer School  and bringing your expertise and kindness to our gathering since, it is You, members of our scientific association and conference participants, who will make the conference an exceptional experience
